MANILA, Philippines — Heavy rainfall is expected in Zambales and Bataan on Friday morning.
According to its 8 a.m. rainfall advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed the two areas under yellow rainfall warning.
Areas under a yellow rainfall warning are forecast to have between 7.5 mm and 15 mm of rain.

Kristine was last located some 125 kilometers west-northwest of Bacnotan, La Union, with a maximum wind speed of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of 115 kph.

Article continues after this advertisementA “minimal to moderate risk of storm surge” warning was up for the next 48 hours over the low-lying or coastal areas of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales.
